Irish Sport Horse looking at the camera

Coevers  is a handsome and well-mannered 23-year old Irish Sport Horse.  He is truly beloved at the UNH Equine Facility and in his 16 years of service as a school horses, he has done it ALL!  In his youth, he was a lovely jumper and dressage horse who also went cross-country.  In recent years, he has slowed down and specialized in the Beginners class and Therapeutic Riding Program, where he has given countless riders safe and happy starts and many wonderful memories.  Coevers is safe, steady, and well-mannered, but unfortunately, due to his age and soundness, he is not fit for our level of riding and seeking a retirement home where he can be a beloved companion.

Cadete has been a much beloved member of our UNH herd for several years. His baby face says it all: he is a lovable, snuggly, sweet boy who is still a giant kid at heart. He is a big boy who needs an experienced rider to help him organize and balance his gangly frame. He's very cute under saddle when he's using his top line correctly. He is happy to work for his rider, but he is more excitable when jumping and in cold weather so he needs a confident rider who can handle his lively moments. He is hard on his own body in his stall and at turnout and can be a harder keeper. He is ready to slow down a step in a loving forever home due to some arthritis behind. However, he will do best with regular work to maintain his muscles and occupy his mind.
