To Apply
Students apply through UNH's Via study abroad portal. You can find the UNH in Italy application & program in Via. First-time users will be asked to build a profile before they can apply. Select the UNH in Italy Program to access the online application and follow the instructions. In the online application, students will be asked to download and submit a UNH study abroad eligibility form to their academic dean's office, provide an academic reference from a faculty or staff member, and include a personal statement related to their academic and professional goals as it relates to the study abroad experience. Applications are reviewed on a "rolling" or on-going basis. As space is limited and capacity is often reached prior to the deadline, applicants are encouraged to apply early.
After Application
You will receive an email confirmation from UNH in Italy once your application is complete. The UNH faculty director will review your application and you should receive email notification on your acceptance decision within two weeks. All accepted students must pay a non-refundable $400 program deposit within two weeks of acceptance. Students will meet in-person with the program faculty over the course of the preceding semester to prepare for the program.
Admission Requirements
No background in Italian is necessary. Students must meet UNH study away eligilblity requirements at the time of departure: a cumulative GPA of 2.5, at least 32 credits earned, a declared major, and good standing with the Student Conduct System. A positive reference and well-articulated personal statement are also an expectation for admission.
