Meet Madi Wing, zoology major and double minor in animal science and animal behavior, from Pawcatuck, Connecticut. Madi interned at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic, Connecticut to support her career goal of working with animals.
COLSA: Why did you choose UNH?
Madi Wing: I did a few tours of schools in New England, and I liked the look of UNH the most and they had the program I was looking for.
COLSA: What's your major, and why did you choose it?
Madi: My major is Zoology because I have loved animals since I was little. I wanted to work with all exotic animals that I could and help rehabilitate and release endangered species.
COLSA: During your time at UNH, what are you most proud of?
Madi: I am most proud of the study habits I’ve created while taking more vigorous courses.
COLSA: What are you planning to do after graduation?
Madi: I plan on getting a job at the Roger Williams Zoo in animal care to jumpstart my career.
COLSA: How is UNH preparing you to achieve your goals?
Madi: UNH has helped the through its career center resume review sessions. This has helped me land my summer internship!
COLSA: What do you love most about UNH?
Madi: I love all the opportunities that UNH provides for my major, such as the SOAR fund for unpaid internships.
