About

The STEM MentorSHIP (Students Harnessing Industry Perspectives) Program is a semester-long, facilitated career development experience designed for sophomores and juniors seeking insight from industry professionals. This one-on-one mentoring program provides structure for students to engage in meaningful exploration and conversations related to a given field of interest.

Our Mission

We strive to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive mentoring community for our students and mentors. We aspire to connect students with professionals who are UNH alumni for the purposes of industry exploration, professional development, and promoting the value of mentoring relationships.

How to Apply

Student Mentee and Alumni Mentor, 2025

Applications for the spring 2026 program will open in the fall. Register here by completing a short application to assist with matching. Students: once in receipt of your application, a career professional will reach out to schedule a short meeting to learn more about your interests to match you with an appropriate mentor and review the program’s guidelines. Matching will take place in January, and you will be notified of your mentor then. We will host a virtual kick-off on Wednesday January 29th at 6:00PM.
