The Student is Now the Teacher
Malone Revis graduated from UNH in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. While he takes his work seriously, Malone also excels at having fun: He’s been to Disney World 29 times!
COLSA: What are you doing now?
Malone Revis: I am a California sea lion trainer at Mystic Aquarium [in Mystic, Connecticut].
COLSA: How did your time at UNH prepare you for where you are today?
Malone: During my time at UNH, I developed time management skills, as well as the ability to work in a team, which has been instrumental in my time as a sea lion trainer.
COLSA: Where do you see yourself in five years? In 10?
Malone: In 5 to 10 years I see myself as a marine mammal trainer, but in a leadership position.
COLSA: What do you know now that you wish you'd known while an undergrad?
Malone: I wish I knew exactly what content would be taught in each of my classes before selecting them.
COLSA: What person or course most influenced you while at UNH?
Malone: Janet Anderson.
COLSA: What advice do you have for students interested in your field?
Malone: Get unpaid experience as early as you can!
COLSA: What do you miss most about UNH?
Malone: All of my friends!
