The goal of my research is to advance our understanding of anthropogenic impacts on seals in the Gulf of Maine. I will use both historic photographic survey data and newly-collected acoustic recordings to better understand these impacts on a harbor (Phoca vitulina) and gray (Halichoerus grypus) seal haul-out site in the Isles of Shoals.
