Research Description
My research aims to enhance understanding of Fibrous Dysplasia (FD), a rare genetic disorder that affects the bones and leads to skeletal deformities, fractures, and, most commonly, chronic pain. Due to its heterogeneity, pain in FD remains poorly understood and, as a result, poorly treated. In collaboration with Boston Children's Hospital, my research investigates clinical, behavioral, and biological contributors to pain in FD to improve treatment outcomes for individuals affected by this complex and challenging disease.
