As we look ahead to a future shaped by increasingly complex global health and environmental challenges, we will depend more than ever on bioscience research for the discoveries and breakthroughs that protect and enhance the quality of life on our planet.

In recognition of this new reality, we believe investing in both our faculty’s capacity to do high-impact research in the life sciences and our students’ access to leading-edge technology and meaningful, real-world skill-building is of paramount importance.

As a part of this initiative, we anticipate the development of private and public research and internship partnerships that will create a strong workforce pipeline for our students and support the goals of businesses and government in the state.

With major funding support from the State of New Hampshire, the University System, and UNH, construction of the 47,500 square-foot addition was completed in April 2022. The 83,000 square-foot renovation of Spaulding Hall is underway and will be completed spring 2024.
