Jesse Stabile Morrell, PhD, currently serves as the assistant dean of undergraduate affairs for the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture and principal lecturer of human nutrition in the department of Agriculture, Nutrition, and Food Systems. She has been on the faculty since 2001 and has been recognized multiple times for excellence in teaching, advising, and service. Her research activities have focused on improving health and reducing chronic disease risk. Her scholarly publications focus on young adult health and food insecurity. Morrell has taught courses in human nutrition, wellness, and research methods. In addition, she is a leader in international education and has facilitated study abroad opportunities for over 600 students.

Morrell completed her undergraduate and doctoral training in nutritional sciences at the University of New Hampshire. As an alum, she is passionate about the importance of fostering inquiry in education and enhancing opportunities and pathways to higher education for students of diverse backgrounds. She values her role in contributing to a premier land- and sea-grant college with nationally and internationally recognized programs in life sciences, agriculture, natural resources, and the applied technical and social sciences.
