The grape-sized, tropical-tasting kiwiberry is a delicious, nutrient-dense crop. The Kiwiberry Research and Breeding Program was founded in 2013 to investigate the commercial potential of this underutilized crop. Many of the over 2,000 breeding lines begin at Macfarlane Research Greenhouses. This program’s goal is to develop elite varieties and best management practices to support an emerging regional kiwiberry sector. Learn more
