Natural bio-stimulant compounds show potential for suppression of plant diseases. Chitosan, a natural derivative of chitin, is one of the more promising bio-stimulants. We are testing chitosan products for suppression of foliar diseases of greenhouse crops and tree fruits. We are also evaluating the potential for chitosan to enhance efficacy of biopesticides.
