Belen Morales Lopez is a biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology major from Alicante, Spain.
COLSA: What did you choose UNH?
Belen Morales Lopez: I chose UNH because of its family-like environment in both sports and academics. As someone who is very family-oriented, I've found a second family here at UNH!
COLSA: Best academic experience you've had at UNH?
Belen: My best academic experience has been getting accepted into a project with Lonza. It’s my first research experience outside the university labs, which has been incredibly enriching.
COLSA: Best experience you've had at UNH outside the classroom/lab?
Belen: I'm on the basketball team, and I absolutely love playing with my teammates. Being able to compete while earning my science degree is truly a dream come true!
COLSA: How is UNH preparing you to achieve your goals?
Belen: UNH constantly pushes me out of my comfort zone. I’m meeting new people, solving problems critically, and being proactive about achieving my goals.
COLSA: What should prospective students know about UNH?
Belen: UNH is a place where everyone is eager to help you excel academically and achieve your personal goals.

Belen: I was born in Spain, but my entire background and family are from Colombia!
