Lillian Walsh '26, from North Andover, MA, is a genetics major with a German minor at UNH. Thanks to COLSA’s SOAR Fund, she was able to accept a summer internship with the UNH Plant Diagnostics Lab (PDL), which helped her gain valuable skills in plant pathology.

Sidney Abel is a B.S. zoology major from Albany, NY. Thanks to COLSA’s SOAR Fund, she was able to accept a summer internship with the Utica Zoo, which helped her gain valuable skills in animal care.

Mikaela Skelley is a wildlife and conservation biology major from Andover, Massachusetts.

Brienna Bohn ’25 is an animal science major from Norton, Massachusetts. She interned at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, Massachusetts and received a stipend from COLSA’s SOAR fund to support her experience.

Jacob McDaniel is an environmental sciences: ecosystems major from Bow, New Hampshire. Thanks to COLSA’s SOAR Fund, he was able to accept a summer internship with New Hampshire Turtle Rescue.

Olivia Obert ’25 is a zoology major from Nashua, New Hampshire. She interned at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, Massachusetts and received a stipend from COLSA’s SOAR fund to support her experience.

Kalina Gravel is a Marine, Estuarine and Freshwater Biology major from Vancouver, Washington. She is a SOAR Fund recipient and is interning for New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance this summer.

Kaylee Galvin ’24 is a double major in zoology and neuroscience and behavior with a minor in marine biology who recently completed a summer internship as a wildlife care intern at the Center for Wildlife in York, Maine.

Emily Kiss ’25 is a wildlife and conservation biology major from Madison, Conn. who spent her summer interning at the South Florida Wildlife Center thanks in part to a stipend she received from COLSA’s SOAR fund.

Emma Iovene ’24 is a marine, estuarine and freshwater biology major who spent the summer interning in Alaska for the Sound Science Research College, thanks in part to financial support she received from COLSA’s SOAR Fund.

Olivia Lucia ’26 is a marine, estuarine and freshwater biology major who is spending the summer caring for marine animals and conducting research as part of her internship at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.
