My research focuses on the ecological and economic tradeoffs associated with land use change, with an emphasis on valuing ecosystem services and informing sustainable resource management. I apply methods from natural resource economics, integrating empirical analysis, geospatial techniques, and mathematical modeling to evaluate how environmental damages, such as those from climate change, wildfire, and land cover transitions, transfer across socio-ecological systems. My work spans forestry, agriculture, and water resource systems, and often draws from interdisciplinary collaborations, which I view as essential for advancing environmental policy.
