Use of the Facilities

The UNH Horse barns are open to the public for walk throughs (on your own) from 8am to 5 pm, 7 days a week. No hand feeding please!

  • Livestock Activity Center(indoor arena): Includes  pre-activity raking and watering of footing, bleachers, rest rooms, wash stall, & use of classroom during non academic use
  • Outdoor Arena: Includes pre-activity raking and watering & use of classroom during non academic use
  • Competition Rings: Includes raking, benches
  • Breeding facility can be rented by local veterinarians. (including collection, storage)
  • Arena Rental for Riding: no longer available to community riders
  • X-Country Schooling
  • Additional Service Fees:
    • Dressage Ring rental
    • Jumps
    • Stabling – as available.  No bedding provided unless arranged
  • Damage fee To be Assessed-includes damage to grass and ring surfaces
  • Contracts must be signed for facility rentals. Releases must be signed by all riders on UNH property.
  • UNH accepts coggins dated within 12 months of the rental date, however, please note that all horses traveling to the UNH Equine Facility from outside the State of New Hampshire must comply with NH State Law Section 436:95, which requires horses imported to the state of New Hampshire to have a negative Coggins within 6 months prior to the date of entry.

All facility use (other than XC course schooling) must go through - and schedule approved by - UNH Equine interim facility manager, Stacey Hornbeck at Stacey.Hornbeck@unh.edu
