Rylee Lease - MSDI Student

Why did you choose UNH? Choosing the MS/DI program at UNH came as a surprise to me. I didn’t look into the program until

late into the application process when I discovered they were adding a Masters edition. I was intrigued by their dedication to not just nutrition but also the sustainability and care for our environment.

What are your interests? I think above anything else I am proud of how much I’ve grown through living in different communities throughout my learning experience. I think the only way to truly understand place and culture is through experiencing it yourself, and being open to listen to others with different viewpoints than you.

What do you consider your biggest challenge? My biggest challenge is deciding how to spend my free time. There are so many things I want to do but with the limited time I have taking classes and having a job, it's hard to find the right time for anything! But is there ever really a “right time?”

What do you plan to do with your degree? There are so many different ideas floating in my head with what I can do with my degree going forward. I would love to stick to nutrition in relation to agriculture and food sustainability, but might wind up researching dietetics in relation to pediatric oncology, I honestly don’t know but I’m excited to find out.
