UNH Equine Stables is able to offer a limited number of spaces for boarding, which is reserved for students, faculty and staff of the University of New Hampshire. The typical term for boarding horses is the duration of the academic year (August through May).
Due to the limited turnout space and associated boarding spaces, all individuals (including those who are currently boarding at the UNH Equine Stables) must submit an application by April 31st to be considered for boarding in the fall semester of that year. Late submissions will be placed on a waitlist and will be considered only once all other applications have been placed. If boarding over the summer is desired, this should be communicated to the UNH Equine Facilities Manager by April 1st.
Once the application submission process closes, board applications will be reviewed using the criteria described in the sheet below. Decisions will be communicated to applicants in July to ensure sufficient time for individuals to make alternative boarding arrangements.
The UNH Equine Barn requires boarding horses to be up-to-date on the required vaccines (detailed below) and Coggins testing.
