Nutritional Sciences - MS
As a native to New Hampshire, I earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences with a focus on medical laboratory science from the University of New Hampshire. Because of the university’s steadfast support of its graduate students and commitment to meaningful and relevant research, I chose to return to pursue a thesis-based Master of Science in nutritional sciences. My research focus is on epidemiological nutrition and its impact on the biology in humans. Specifically, I am exploring how the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program’s educational supplements affect inflammation levels and diet in New Hampshire’s Bhutanese refugee population.
