"Promoting the value of wildlife through student involvement and community outreach
The Wildlife Society founded in 1937, is an international non-profit organization of professionals active in wildlife research, management, education, and administration. The Wildlife Society aims to develop and promote sound stewardship of wildlife resources and the environments upon which wildlife and humans depend.
New Hampshire's only Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society is located in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, at the University of New Hampshire. As a member of this Student Chapter you will have the opportunity to associate with faculty, wildlife professionals, and other wildlife and natural resources classmates. TWS promotes a variety of projects and field trips. The people you meet at TWS meetings and functions are a valuable resource in finding that perfect wildlife career, and it looks great on your resume!
Members consist of Wildlife and Natural Resources and the Environment majors and minors; all are welcome and encouraged to join. Membership is free as financial support is generated through fundraising activities.
Meetings are held throughout the semester to discuss upcoming events and meetings, or to present a guest speaker. Everyone is welcome to attend.
