M.S. Natural Resources: Soil and Water Resource Management
Advisor: Dr. Wil Wollheim
Research Topic: Stream Biogeochemistry
My work focuses on how different land use types (forested, agricultural, and urbanized) and climate change affect vital in-stream processes such as metabolism, denitrification, and nutrient uptake over daily, seasonal, and storm event based time scales. These processes are often linked to stream health, ecosystem function, and beneficial ecosystem services. My study area is the vast network of 1st order streams here in the Oyster River Watershed in South East New Hampshire.
