Change of Major

  1. The first step for COLSA students to change their major within COLSA is to go into WebCat and request to change your major.  A tutorial for the process of changing a major is available
  2. Once this step in WebCat is completed, you then need to fill out the web form below for the major in which you wish to transfer. Click on the program link to open the web form that once completed will be sent to the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for their review and approval. If you do not fill out this web form, your request to change majors will be denied.
  3. The status of your request to change majors can be found in WebCat where you initially requested to change majors.

To change into one of the majors listed below, you MUST first get approval from the Undergraduate Program Coordinator by
       completing the appropriate web  form.  If you do not complete the web form, your request will be denied.

 

Initial Admission to the major as a First-year or Transfer Student

Students entering the University as first-year or transfer students may declare Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology (BMCB) as part of the UNH admission process. First-year students who are admitted directly into BMCB will be assigned an academic faculty advisor who will work with you throughout your course of study.

Declaring the Major as a Continuing Student within COLSA

Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology (BMCB) is an open major and any continuing COLSA student can declare BMCB at any time. Submit Changing your major to BMCB to Dr. Feixia Chu, program coordinator, for review.  After submitting the request, you will need to complete the change of program process through MyUNH/Webcat Services .The status of your request to change majors can be found in WebCat where you initially requested to change majors.

Non-COLSA Students

Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology (BMCB) is an open major. If you are a student within another college at UNH (i.e., COLA, CHHS, CEPS, WSBE or UNHM), submit Changing your major to BMCB to the program coordinator for review. After submitting your request,  you must return to WebCat to continue the on-line process.  The status of your request to change majors can be found in WebCat where you initially requested to change majors.

Initial Admission to the major as a First-year or Transfer Student

The status of your request to change majors can be found in WebCat where you initially requested to change majors.

The web form options are Medical Laboratory ScienceMedical Microbiology or Medical and Veterinary Sciences.

Non-COLSA Students
