The New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station is excited to again partner with the Oyster River Farm Day event to welcome visitors to our research farms on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
Organic Dairy Research Farm

The first and currently one of only two public university organic research dairies, this NH Agricultural Experiment Station farm is home to around 100 Jersey cows and over 275 acres of pasture, forage, and woodlands. Come learn about the ongoing research that seeks to improve milk production, reduce environmental impacts, and serve as a model for ensuring that New Hampshire and New England remain leaders in sustainable food systems. Have you ever wanted to see a commercial farm tractor up close? Have you ever wondered what a tree harvester looks like? Ever wonder how agricultural research happens at UNH? Bring the entire family to look, touch, and even sit in farming and forestry trucks and machinery, and learn about the leading-edge agricultural, forestry, and environmental research that these instruments help support at the NH Agricultural Experiment Station.
