Direct To Farmer (DTF) Diagnostics

It can be a challenge for farmers to access the veterinary services and laboratory testing required to keep their livestock healthy and productive.  While most laboratory submissions must be submitted by a veterinarian, the NHVDL provides a select number of non-regulatory tests directly to livestock/poultry owners to aid in management and provide access to testing that may otherwise be difficult to obtain.  The testing available directly to farmers includes, pregnancy, CAE, poultry necropsy, and fecal parasite exams for agricultural animals.  For all other testing, a full sellection of services are available for samples submitted through your veterinarian.   The tests and pricing are listed on the DTF submission form.

Any medical treatment based on laboratory results should be under the supervision of, or consultation with, a licensed veterinarian.
