UNH Sawmill

"You should see what we saw"

Serving the UNH Community as a facility for Research, Education and Sustainable Lumber Production since 1968. All lumber is sustainably harvested from university land by Thompson School of Applied Science students in the Forest Technology program as part of their hands-on curriculum of study.

LOCATION: 248 Mast Road, Durham, NH 03824

Lumber inventory and sales:

We have 1 inch and 2 inch thick white pine lumber of even widths and lengths. We also have a limited volume of red oak and red maple lumber. All lumber is full dimension and rough cut.

For fall 2018, we will have two lumber sales:

Saturday, September 15; 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Saturday, October 6; 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

With more than 25,000 square feet of greenhouse space, the Macfarlane Research Greenhouses are dedicated to research and teaching associated with the NH Agricultural Experiment Station and College of Life Sciences and Agriculture.
