Yu(Patrick) Zang, a graduate student of Dr. Brito, is from the northeastern coastal city Qingdao in China. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky and received his master's degree from West Virginia University. His master thesis focused on the effects of macronutrient supplementation on the health and milk production performance in peripartial dairy cows. Currently, he is interested in studying the utilization of rumen-protected amino acids in typical American dairy cow diets.
