Biomedical Science Minor

Undergraduate students who have an interest in the various aspects of the Biomedical Sciences (Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Microbiology, and Medical and Veterinary Science) may develop broad or focused competencies in these areas by taking a minor in the BMS program.  Students must have the minor approved by their major advisor and by the BMS minor coordinator. Requirements for a Minor in Biomedical Science

  • Minimum of 20 credits with no more than 8 credits used to fulfill major requirements
    • Must take BIOL 411 Introductory Biology: Molecular and Cellular (4cr.) AND either BMS 508 Human Anatomy and Physiology (4 cr.) or ANSC 512 Anatomy and Physiology (4 cr.)
    • Select additional 12 credits from the courses listed below

Earn a grade of C- or better  in all minor courses
