Introduction to Brewing Art and Science
Whether you're interested in brewing as a career or just want to learn the many aspects of making beer, this intro course has it covered. SAFS 415 is the foundation course for the new brewing minor at UNH. In this course, you'll learn about the entire brewing process from growing hops and grain to packaging the final product. We'll cover beer styles, flavors, water quality, fermentation science, and how this process varies from craft brewing to macro scale brewing. You'll also meet industry professionals and learn about current trends and challenges.
Course time: MWF 3:10 - 4:00 pm & Wednesday 4:10 - 5:00 pm
