The Behavior of the Wasp Cerceris fumipennis, and it's use as a bio-surveillance tool for Emerald Ash Borer

I study the behavior of the ground dwelling solitary wasp Cerceris fumipennis. This wasp hunts for wood boring beetles and can be used as a bio-surveillance tool for pest species including the incredibly damaging Emerald Ash Borer. I am interested in learning more about the life history of the wasp, so we can better use it as a surveillance tool for EAB and other Buprestidae pests. In particular, I am looking at hunting behavior, nesting behavior, and production of young.
