Bria Frehner ’17 first started conducting research on cancer cells in professor Charles Walker’s lab the summer after her freshman year. Yusuf Ebrahim ’17 met Walker during his first semester at UNH, in an intro to cell biology course Walker was teaching. The pair recently presented what they’ve learned about the role tumor-suppressant protein p53 plays in the formation of cancer at the 18th annual Undergraduate Research Conference.
