Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology B.S.

This major focuses on the study of living organisms at the biochemical, molecular and cellular levels. The BMCB major integrates a popular, yet rigorous, academic curriculum with extensive hands-on experiences (laboratory courses, independent research investigations, field work) to develop your technical and laboratory skills. The BMCB faculty offer areas of specialization in cell signaling pathways, gene regulation, endocrinology, macromolecular interactions, cancer, and cell physiology.

Undergraduate Research

BMCB majors can take advantage of the outstanding research programs offered by BMCB faculty by getting involved in an undergraduate research experience. Funding is often available to support undergraduate research either through external grant funds or through the Hamel Center for Undergraduate Research. Talk to your faculty adviser or visit individual BMCB faculty Web sites to learn more about the diverse, exciting research programs.
