Changing your Major with a Medical and Veterinary Sciences Option

Initial Admission to the major as a First-year or Transfer Student

Students entering the University as first-year or transfer students may declare Biomedical Science: Medical/Veterinary Sciences (BMS:MVS) as part of the UNH admission process.  First-year students who are admitted directly into BMS:MVS will be assigned an academic faculty advisor who will work with you throughout your course of study.

Declaring the Major as a Continuing Student within COLSA

BMS:MVS is an open major and any continuing COLSA student can declare BMS:MVS at any time.  Simply fill out the web form that will be sent to Dr. Paul Tsang, program coordinator, for review.  Once you have been approved for admission to the major, you will need to complete the change of program process through Blackboard/Webcat Services.

Non-COLSA Students

BMS:MVS is an open major.  If you are a student within another college at UNH (i.e., COLA, CHHS, CEPS, PAUL or UNHM), fill out the web form that will be sent to Dr. Paul Tsang, program coordinator, for review. Once you have been approved for admission to the major, you will need to complete the change of program process through Blackboard/Webcat Services.
