Changing your Major to Biomedical Sciences with a Medical Microbiology Option

Initial Admission to the major as a First-year or Transfer Student

Students entering the University as first-year or transfer students may declare Biomedical Science: Medical Microbiology as part of the UNH admission process.  All students interested in applying to the major must fill out a web form that will be sent to Dr. Timothy Montminy, the program coordinator, prior to gaining admission to the major.  Once you have been approved for admission to the major, you will need to complete the change of program process through MyUNH/Webcat Services.

Declaring the Major as a Continuing Student within COLSA

BMS:MedMicro is a restricted enrollment academic program.  We welcome an opportunity to talk with you about your interests and to discuss whether this program matches your academic and professional goals.  All students interested in applying to the major must fill out a web formthat will be sent to Dr. Timonthy Montminy, the program coordinator, prior to gaining admission to the major.  Once you have been approved for admission to the major, you will need to complete the change of program process through MyUNH/Webcat Services.

Non-COLSA Students

BMS:MedMicro is a restricted enrollment academic program.  If you are a student within another college at UNH (i.e., COLA, CHHS, CEPS, WSBE or UNHM), fill out the web form that will be sent to Dr. Timonthy Montminy, undergraduate coordinator, for review. Once you have been approved for admission to the major, you will need to complete the change of program process through MyUNH/Webcat Services.  You should meet with your current major advisor to start the process.
