Description of Current Research and/or Professional Activities:

The majority of my work is as a diagnostic pathologist at the NHVDL, where I perform biopsy and necropsy service for domesticated animals, wildlife and zoo animals, and laboratory animals. I have published papers describing both neoplastic and infectious diseases in domesticated and exotic species, demonstrating my broad interest in diagnostic pathology. I still actively collaborate with investigators at Michigan State University that are researching animal models of bacterial pathogenesis; specifically of tuberculosis and biofilms. My interests reflect my job description and previous experiences, including small animal and farm animal diagnostic pathology, ocular pathology, comparative pathology, and developing a strong base of support for UNH faculty doing animal model research.
